TWO ELECTRICAL VEHICLES READY FOR SERIAL PRODUCTION
Commenting about this event, CEO of TEMSA Mr. Hasan Yıldırım said, “Pursuing our vision of people-centered smart cities; we work towards a much smarter and cleaner future. This has been the driving force behind all our recent investments. Electrical vehicles are an important component of this vision. We showcased our second electrical vehicle Avenue Electron, now ready for serial production, at the Persontrafik Expo, which is a manifestation of this vision. With the 9-meter MD9 and 12-meter Avenue Electron, TEMSA is now among the few automotive manufacturers in the world that can offer multiple electrical vehicle model options to its customers. In the near future, we will further expand our product portfolio to continue to be among the most important representatives of the Smart Mobility vision.”
Avenue Electron, 12 meters long with 35 seats and 85-person capacity, has a range of 230 km on full charge and is ready for ordering. The fast charging technology enables the vehicle to travel 90 km on a 9-minute charge. Ongoing R&D efforts aim to extend its current 230-km range to 350 km.
Offering an insight on the MD9 vehicle showcased at the Expo, Mr. Hasan Yıldırım said, “In all the markets we are currently operating, the MD9 is one of our best-sellers and becomes the center of attention with its people-centered design and versatility. The electrical version of this 9-meter vehicle is now ready for serial production. Moreover, we have also focused our efforts to develop a autonomous version of this vehicle. We showcased our first concept vehicle recently in Munich. Our goal is to see this vehicle on the roads by 2022”.
